The Institute published, in 1999, The Lessons of Jonestown – an ethnopsychoanalytic study of suicidal communities (ISBN 88-87753-00-8) by Domenico A. Nesci. Free copies have been delivered to Australian Californian, and Canadian psychoanalysts. The book is not for sale but can only be donated. Since 2000, two new formats for continuing medical education have been created: the “Associative Workshop” and the “Workshop Movies and Dreams” from which a television format (“Doppio Sogno” = “Double Dream” © I.I.P.R.T.H.P.) was produced in collaboration with RAISAT and the Cine TV Institute of Rome. In 2002 a school of psychoanalytic psychotherapy (S.I.P.S.I.) was founded and recognized by the Italian Ministery of Research and University (MIUR).
The Institute is involved in the organization of Courses in Psycho-Oncology at the Medical School of the Università Cattolica del S. Cuore, in Rome. In the academic year 2010-2011, the Institute promoted 34 scholarships to the Courses in Psycho-Oncology of the Università Cattolica to health professionals (medical doctors, psychologists, and nurses) thanks to a sponsorship by the Fondazione Roma Terzo Settore. The program of the Courses for the academic year 2012-2013 can be seen by clicking here.
Thanks to an ongoing collaboration with the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, the 2011 edition of the Workshop Movies and Dreams took place within the “Risonanze” of the Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma at the Istituto Cine TV (Via della Vasca Navale 58). The movie “La prima cosa bella” (by Paolo Virzì) was presented in 2011 and the social dreaming (the day after the screening of the movie) was filmed by the troupe of the Cine TV (Professors Franchi and Gillia) in order to produce a new edition of the television format “Doppio Sogno”.
